Read the great story of how the GEO600 experiment that was setup to detect Gravitational Waves as predicted by General Relativity happened to detect unexplainable excess noise as implied by the Holographic Principle. Craig Hogan of Fermilab was predicting such kind of noise some time ago and found a perfect match in GEO600′s data. A dedicated high-precision experiment to probe the effect would use atom (or even molecule?) interferometers – incedentially those of the kind being used by Anton Zeilinger’s group here in Vienna! So let’s hope for somebody to pick up that line of research there!
